Yes, that's indeed a petate!. For those of you who don't know what that is, a petate can be described as is a bedroll used in Mexico, Central America, and Asia. It is typically woven in quadrangular form using palm fibers. It is used mainly among those too impoverished to afford beds, typically in poor villages. This is more of a personal design but if you get it, you get it!
